Project Series

Framework

Wanderling Wild is a project that weaves together so many natural and existing elements including family systems, community and natural resources and entrepreneurial endeavors to create community cohesion.

Each project will have educational and recreational basis which provides a myriad of practical and socio-emotional skills, opportunities to connect, explore and participate in the space we occupy.

Each project will have both for and non profit components which allows for self sustainability and expansion and accessibility.

As you navigate the offerings, each project is broken down into Play days, Way Days and Lost Days. This structure breaks down my approach to education and creates a scaffolded approach to growth, adventure and connection.

Play Days are project pod meetings, which is a great way to make connections and get grounded with ourselves, our cohorts, our lovely 'backyard' and the sense of both freedom and regularity that comes from being out with friends. This is a relaxed approach to creating cohorts, establishing play culture and simple routines that make adventures together more accessible.

Way Days are Workshops that are centered on building finer skills and experience. This is a simple approach to cultivating camaraderie, bandwidth for expanding practice and exposure and honing in on our journeys, together.

Lost Days are the opportunities to wander out of our routines and explore more deeply. We use the skills and relationships we've built to discover the world around us in new and familiar ways.

Family Fishing Series

Coming this June!

Our Family Fishing Series will feature off-duty Ranger and ECE professional support for families wanting to get out and fish with friends.

Of Food and Friends

Coming June 2024!

Wanderling Wild is creating a family cooking series which will run year round, pivoting with the seasons.

For it's pilot season, we will host an outdoor cooking gathering in which families are invited to come hang out and share outdoor cooking techniques, recipes and most importantly - time outside together, with food and friends.

Babies On Board

Wanderling Wild is coordinating a series with alternating lessons in swim and surfing as a family! This series will include an ocean and water safety workshop.

Buckwild Babies

Wanderling Wild aspires to design a fresh approach to early exposure to horseback riding in a way that is more accessible and intentional for young families and the beloved riding horses.

Camping Series

Wanderling Wild is designing a series of camping adventures which will provide opportunities to: workshop & tinker family camping systems, learn survival and bushcraft skills and generally be outside and unplugged together.

Baby Backpacking

Wanderling Wild's Camping Series is a precursor to a backpacking series.

We will be testing out our gear, paring down to the minimum and workshoping skills and bandwidth for adventure with our littles.

Storm Season

Wanderling Wild has an extensive lineup of indoor programs being coordinated for our Storm Season when getting out and together proves to be more challenging.
Stay Tuned!

Wanderling Wild has an extensive collection of programs being designed and coordinated.

Bringing these programs to life is reliant upon resources and collaboration! Reach out to participate and support the cause

Keep an eye out for our fundraising and vending events coming soon!

Gallery

As a solo parent, I provided care not only for my own son on our healing journey but I also have worked extensively with numerous families throughout Santa Cruz County (primarily Santa Cruz Mountains). I have spent thousands of hours with families and children doing all things early childhood. I am familiar and comfortable with mixed aged groups in diverse settings and am thrilled to expand on these journeys.

For privacy, many children are not pictured in this gallery, which is remnant of my original Wanderling Care website and it's adventures.
